The Digital-Ink blog: what's it all about?
Hi there! Welcome to the brand new digital-ink blog. I’m so happy that you are checking this out. In this first post, I want to tell you a little bit about the intentions of this blog. It is for creative writers, self publishers, story tellers and word artists. If you identify with one or more of these categories, then hopefully this blog will offer you tasty brain cookies (also known as 'food for thought').
Language
Although I am a native Dutch speaker, I will write this blog in English, providing no translations. I will do my best to write articles that are not only of interest for an English writing audience, but for any writer, despite the language he or she writes in.
Audience
Maybe you are just starting out, maybe you have already had your first successes and are looking for opportunities to become a full-time author. Then this blog is for you. If you are already a seasoned, full-time novelist, you might want to help others move their writing to the next level, by sharing your experience and tips in reactions to an article. That would be great.
Frequency
I want to publish an evergreen article at least once a month, giving you insights and tips about the craft. Written from experience, either my own or that of others. Sometimes fuelled by opinion, but I’m sure that you are the perfect observer to see through that and form your own opinions. And where applicable, articles might point to excellent resources on the internet.
Even though I am the creator of the digital-ink.app writing application, this blog is not a sales pitch. However, I have a special interest in tool support for creative writers, so if it is appropriate, I might mention how something is solved in digital-ink.
And without further ado, my next post will be about the question: do I write in English or in my native language?.
